D001 - Taren Zamin Par -a sneak peek at early childhood education by Shweta Choudhary, Headmistress DWW Siliguri

22nd June 2020

Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. Childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual child.

When children are in primary school their brains are still being formed and are very impressionable. Since they spend a lot of time at school it’s imperative that teachers are well trained not only in subject matter but also in child Psychology. Children are like wet cement whatever falls on them makes an impression. At Delhi Wonder World, Siliguri from day one our highly qualified and experienced teachers and assistants work dedicatedly to instill a sense of resilience and perseverance through fun and stimulating hands. If we wish them to shine as stars then school teachers have to instruct them with wisdom and awareness.

It’s imperative that children are taught moral value along with a subject matter to give them a strong foundation. As each child is unique the school education has to be individualistic which is possible only when the strength of the class is limited like Delhi Wonder World, Siliguri. Originality should be encouraged rather than to measure each child with the same yardstick and this is the guiding Principle of Delhi Wonder World, Siliguri.

Children are the future and whether we want an average future or brilliant it’s for us to decide. Success is much more than marks. Strong character and healthy body and mind are foundational stones for the success which DWW, Siliguri looks to lay for its children.

Learning is their journey.

 Let them navigate.

 Push them to explore.

 Watch them discover.

Encourage their questions.

Allow them to struggle.

Support their thinking.

 Let them fly.
